Tristan is currently a senior at Duke University.
He is of French nationality, but because of his parents' work (mostly UN-related), his siblings and him were raised all over the world, moving from country to country every 2-3 years.
He absolutely loved growing up moving around; it is an integral part of who he is today, and he also believe that it is a key element in his passion for film.
Probably as a consequence of moving around frequently, most of his memories are heavily tainted by nostalgia as he realises that these moments are gone forever.
As a result, he has have developed a certain sensitivity to the light, atmosphere, smell, and other components that make up special moments in everyday life--moments which will soon be gone.
One of the big reasons Tristan loves film today is because of its ability to capture such moments, and to transmit them along with important messages.
Years after he picked up a camera for the first time, Tristan is at Duke not studying film but working on film more than anything else.. In the past 2 years, he has shot several short videos/films with different styles, practicing, and getting to know Durham and its community.
He is currently writing/directing a full length feature film called Trainhopper. More information is available at www.Trainhopperthemovie.com
